Your project properties have an Encoder tab which in turn has an exclusions tab, you can add .svn in "do no encode files...". That should resolve the problem

Thanks for your answer but we do not have that tab, only 'Options' and 'Header'.
Is that because we are using PHPEd 5.2? Should we upgrade? |

I would most definitely advise in upgrading, but that is up to you. A lot has changed since 5.2, why not download the trial to find out?
What I don't quite get is how the .svn folders managed to be included. Normally the encoder only encodes .php and .inc files unless you change that. Do you encode from the command line? |

We encode within the IDE and NuCoder is configured to copy non-PHP because
we have a lot of JS/CSS/Smarty and images in our projects. Ok, will upgrade then... |

Perhaps the --excludecopy argument works with folders too then, it allows you to exclude specific files/directories from the copy-all functionality. If you can manually specify arguments, why not try to add --excludecopy .svn ?
