Done that.
Also done binary compare on dbg.so.5.2.x, compared php.ini's, compared project settings - really tried everything I can think of.
Would it help to post both phpinfo's up ? I can do that ...

Ok, I have a normal ubuntu server (call it rsl), and a virtual machine ubuntu server (call it vm)
Both have same php.ini, same dbg module, same setup etc etc.
I have 2 projects, one for rsl, and one ...

see my original post - the phpED client 10.10.1.9 is the ONLY allowed IP in debugger.hosts_allow, which is why I am a) confused and b) posting here !

I have no problems (currently!) setting up phpED debugging on Ubuntu, it works lovely. But I have a client site with SME7, whish is a distro based on Centps/RHEL (I think).

Sorry for short header. Complex, often hard to reproduce problem as follows:
Using DBG on ubuntu box, PhpED on XP client, so 3rd party debugger.
Debugger mainly works, so install ok ...
