i know there are a couple of ways to do this and it did great afaik.
( but in fact i cannot find the tread / page atm. )
so why would anybody spend money on a new setup routine ...

just insert an explicit [url=http://www.php.net/manual/en/function.ob-start.php]ob_start() in testrewrite.php/line1, so your script is portable.

hmm .. in 2.1 we've:
[att] - has attribute match
[att=val] - exact match
[att~=val] - word match
[att|=val] - matches if attribute is "val" ...

i do not think taking their source would make things easier.

In my opinion JS support is essential for PHPED.
Most of us cannot avoid JS-AJAX-animation-stuff. That's the thing.
