I am on WinXP and I have always the same "php" icon on my files even when the file is in read-only or not.
I have this with mapped drive and local projects... Exclamation Rolling Eyes

this is not an issue.
Readonly status for the icons supported by another non-Microsoft application (I have no idea which one) and this application is Windows shell-integrated, like Tortoise.

It is strange that screenshots in the "help" application contain icons with read-only status ... Rolling Eyes

I'm not sure what help application and what screenshots you mean. Could you please provide more details?
