I'm running Windows 7 64-bit, and after installation of both PHPEd v.13 and v.14 64-bit, my Windows Explorer menus are "black" until I run my mouse down the menu; then it partially clears up.

Has anyone else seen this?

After some more Googling, I found a solution here that fixes my problem:

1. Start
2. Right Click Computer
3. Select Properties
4. Click the Advanced System Settings
5. Advanced Tab
6. Under Performance, Click Settings
7. Under Custom: tick (uncheck) the check-box FADE OR SLIDE MENUS INTO VIEW
8. Apply & OK.

I think, PhpED has zero relation to the problem you encountered. Perhaps, it's a coincidence in time.
