Can we have it so when you go to set the file permissions of folder it also has the option to recursively set the same file permissions for the contents of the folder.

It would also be nice to have the ability to set the file permissions in the workspace area too the reason for this is I map a network drive to a share folder on linux.

As far as I know FTP does not support changing file permissions. At least I don't see any commands like chmod in RFC959.
Same goes to the samba network drives.

I have noticed that some FTP clients have the ability to set file permissions. I played around with FileZilla, and found that it uses the SITE command to achieve this. I believe it may be a system-dependent option. Example:
Code:
SITE CHMOD 644 filename.htm

I am using SFTP myself, and do not necessarily have the same requirements as Herculesmorse. I am merely making a comment on FTP Wink
