PHPEd on mac under WINE

I am running PHPEd under WINE on a Mac...I'm getting the same thing. When ever the debugger stops, whether its at the end of the script or I press stop the application locks. Randy, does autocomplete code feature work? I get a grey background. The only difference is that I am using MAMP under Mac for my server. It seems as though everything works as expected until the debugger stops....

Randy, what process(es) do you kill - all or just the listener?

sooooo close to get this running on mac

Wow! Thanks for contributing. It sounds like you have exactly the same problem as I do. I have the same feeling...we're so close to this working (thanks to the NuSphere team!)

Reference autocomplete: I hadn't even checked this yet. The problem I see is simply the content of the dialog are not placed properly. To test this start typing 'mysql'. When the grey box shows up, hit the down arrow a couple of times and hit enter. You'll notice the auto complete works. That may be fixable with wine's desktop integration settings.

Reference processes: With DbgListener 3.2.8 I kill explorer, then DBGLIS~.EXE, then phped.exe.
I've found if I don't kill 'explorer' the icons won't show up in the task bar again, but everything works. If you don't kill DBGLIS~.EXE everything will work but a complaint is generated stating DbgListener is already running.

So Dmitri...sounds like it isn't just Ubuntu 7.10.

I agree...Nupshere support is AWESOME...just want you guys to know we appreciate it. RE:dbg, it seems as though the app is waiting on output like you had suggested...it just locks ups.

dmitri, does PHPEd write a log anywhere?

I have a write up on how to get everything set up on the mac...I'm wondering if we shouldn't get some more interested parties involved. I'm not an expert on X11 or WINE, maybe there is another user out there that could help out.

I can send you debug version of dbglistener, it produces logs. Please contact me by email for this.

You guys have made such progress!!! Cool This is so awesome. Randy, did you happen to find out why the contents of the code complete window are off. I saw what you meant when you said that are there just not aligned properly...its like the content are located @ x+100, y+100. I will try to do some digging, but let me know if you come up with anything.

You've probably already tried it, but it was awesome to see the profiler running!!!

Dmitri deserves all the credit. All I'm doing to providing feedback as to what I see. I suppose I should set up a VNC session and just let Dmitri remote into my machine. Perhaps that is on the horizon, but that would be up to him.
Still plugging away. I haven't looked into what I will call the "Dialog content offset problem" other than setting Wine to NOT integrate with the desktop, but that made no difference.

Thanks for the encouragement.

I just noticed that if you manually resize the code complete dialog box...everything straightens out....it doesn't stay that way for the next code complete, but its a start
