Probably a question for Dmitri to answer, but if there was a serious issue, I'd expect the dbg module to check the installed PHP version when it starts up and warn you. Why not give it a go? All it needs is a DLL swap and restart Apache, which might be when an error will appear.
If your PhpED is 2 years old (about the same time I've being using PhpED) then I've seen some great new features over that time which you might be missing out on if you do not upgrade. |

no, it's absolutely impossible. The interfaces - on both sides of the debugger are changed. The one connected to php is changed according to PHP 5.3 API, the one connected to the client is changed according to new IDE API. So...
