Everytime I start PHPed, I've to tell again and again which toolbars I want on my screen and how i want them there.
After i close and restart PHPEd i have to do this again.

I'm using V4.0 build 4033

Any idea how to force PHPEd to save these settings?

Regards, Scub

If you purchased the product, please install update (v 4.0.1, build 4048).

The toolbar problem is back again (v4.5.1. build 4522).
The toolbars are not saved. When I change something (add another toolbar like debug etc. it's not saved. The only toolbar left is the default one (after closing and restarting)

I will remove and re-install (again....) PHPed to get rid of this.

I also found out it's best to completely remove PHPEd before installing a new version to prevent strange errors......

Useless to say these kind of bugs furstrates me again and again. Lucky for you PHPed is the best product I found at the moment, but I'm looking forward to a version I can do my daily work without the software frustrations.

Scub.

Are you working in FULL SCREEN mode (see View->Full Screen)?
In this mode NO changes to the GUI are saved. IDE will restore THE DEFAULT FULL SCREEN each time it enters to this mode. It's not a bug.

No, I'm not working in fullscreen mode.
After your hint, I played with fullscreen mode and it behaves just the way I reported.

It looks like sometimes PHPEd switched to full screenmode by itself (i never use the combination Alt-F10).

I did a full uninstall and reinstall and the problem was gone. The next time I run into this one, I'll try the Alt-F10 to see if the toolbars will be back again.

Best regards, Scub.

Hi ddmitri,

I found the cause of switching to fullscreen mode without using Alt-F10.
In PHPEd you can switch beteen tabs by using the small arrows locates on the top right screen.
If one of these arrow is white (there are no more tabs...) and you DOUBLE CLICK on that white (or not filled arrow), the editor switch to full-screen mode.

Please don't say this is a feature Wink

I am doing a lot of debugging and lots of small scripts are loaded (no i don't want them to load, see my feature requests) so i'm using the little small arrow a lot. Probably clicking double occasionally.

This only seems to happen by the way in 4.5.1 build 4522. My colleage is using v 4.0 build 4043 and this version does not switch to full-screen mode after double clicking on an empy arrow tabkey.

Hopes this helps you!

Best regards, Scub.

But it is a feature and some people called it very intuitive Smile
Double click on the Tab area triggers the between IDE full screeen and normal modes.

Ok, for double clicking on the tabs I can imagine such behavier, but not when I click on the arrow icons for left-tab/right-tab
We also are used to say our bugs are no bugs but features Wink

I also find it annoying but I like that we can jump between fullscreen so easily. Is there perhaps a way this action can be disabled if you are clicking on the right and left arrows that are displayed when you have more tabs open then the screen can display. I often go to full screen trying to page through my projects.
