Hi! I have Windows 7 (32-bit) and phpEd 5966 works fine with TortoiseSVN. I'll try to test it on Windows XP too and let you know. Isn't it possible, that your Windows XP installation is broken?

The question was posed and answered several times already:

This only happens when you have Tortoise 64bit. 32bit software only plays nice with 32bit. (and 64 with 64) So since PhpED is 32 bit, you need the 32bit version of TortoiseSVN installed for it to show up. Note that it is perfectly okay to install both versions at the same time (Explorer actually requires the 64bit version) |

As Blizz said, the problem is really with 64-bit versions only. Both XP (32-bit) and Windows 7 (32-bit) works fine, for 64-bit systems you still need 32-bit TortoiseSVN for phpEd, which might be a bit confusing, but its the way it is. At least unless native support will be added - sometimes in a galaxy far far away.

Hm, my builds are the same for phpEd and TortoiseSVN, both 32-bit and I cannot reproduce your problem. I tried Windows 7 and XP and everything works for me. I can see you do not have english version of Windows, could the problem be with your Windows localization? For now, it seems that the problem you described is very specific to your instalation(s), it could be related not only to phpEd, but also to TortoiseSVN, your Windows localization, or any combination of the three. What is the path to your workspace and project directory? Does it contain any international characters? If it does, try to create workspace and/or project within a simple path with english letters only, something like "C:\phpEdWorkspace\". Since phpEd is using internal Windows Explorer for Shell menu, it is possible, that international characters in path cause problems. If it does not help, try fresh windows installation with phpEd and TortoiseSVN only. It is possible, that for example your firewall software might block TortoiseSVN activities.

Please note that there is an option in Tortiise SVN to show overlays only in Windows Explorer.

This option is off by default but someone could turn it on by mistake and get the problem listed above. |
