I have a number of js and php code bits/snippets that i would like easy assess to within the ide. Is there a way to store my own personal library with a description of the snippet. much thanks for this great product. technotool

yes, you can store your snippets in Tools->Settings->Code Templates. Don't forget to select appropriate language.
After added, those snippets will be available in the templates popup that is invoked with Ctrl-J shortcut.

i agree with technotool.

i know you have the template code feature already implemented. Well, we were using Homesite for just about 10 years now and we used the snippet feature a lot. Compared to the snippet system im Homesite, the template code system in PhpED is a litte bit to 'small'. It would be great to have a tree-like structure as you can see in the screenshot below. There you can assign any keyboard shortcut to a snippet or double klick to insert. It would be nice to have this as a new Tab.




You might consider to 'pimp' your template system for future releases, this would be great and very helpful for everyday workflow.

a drag and drop or double click off a popup sidebar menu would be amazing.

But make no mistake-->The product is already amazing.
