I want to upload files without testing the destination for time stamp or file size. Same for download, I just want it copied.

then why not to use Download and Upload in the popup menu?!
I'm asking b'ze what you asked for is the only thing that differs Smart Upload/Download from direct (no-brain) ones.

because I get messages like "target is newer than the source" and so it won't copy but I want it to.

You get those messages if you use any kind of smart option - smart-sync, smart upload, etc. What dmitri is saying is to use the plain old Upload option which is available when you right-click on a file or directory.

ohh right, I didn't know there was any difference - yes that works just fine.

Any way to Q up transfer requests? or should that be another feature request?
