Is there a way to set the maximum number of simultaneous connections? It's taking forever to synch my FTP project...

If your network is slow, how would increasing max # of connections help you get project synchronized faster?
If the problem is in FTP, you may try SFTP or WebDav.

It's not a slow network, it's a large file count. Try a large file count downlaod using an FTP client like FileZilla that supports multiple connections and you'll see a huge performance difference.

so, the problem is with FTP slowly responding to the client. Why not to try SFTP then? It uses one connection and does not re-connect for each file so it will work times faster on projects with tons of small files.
