SHTML no recognized

Nusphere seems not to recognize SHTML -the run o run indebugger buttons do not turn on when such a file is diplayed. So it is not possible, at least using "SRV local web server" mode, to debug a .php script which is called from a form in a .shtml document. Is there a way around this, besides changing the SHTML ending to HTML?
