SFTP supported ?

Since PHPedit currently doesn't support secure ftp connections, I am evaluating phpED 3.3.

However, I can't figure out how to get an SFTP connection working.
changing the SSL settings doesn't seem to work (!!?)

With ftp clients such as SecureFX I can establish an SFTP connection.

Any ideas??

SFTP and FTPS are different protocols.
FTP+SSL is a protocol for secure authentication based on SSL/TLS (RFC-2246) and the FTP Security Extensions (RFC-2228).

SFTP is an ssh extension that has no relation to FTP (described in respect RFC) protocol at all.
SSH and its extensions are describer here
http://www.ietf.org/html.charters/secsh-charter.html
and SFTP in particular:
http://www.ietf.org/internet-drafts/draft-ietf-secsh-filexfer-05.txt

Regarding PHPED it supports FTP and FTP/SSL (FTPS) only.

Are there any plans to support sftp in future versions?
