I tried it with a 64 bit micro instance of Amazon Linux but I didn't have the problem with that test. But I saw some differences between their sshd_config file and mine so I have some things to check.
Though right now something happened and I'm getting the error 'CRC check failed for PHPED.EXE. Possibly corrupted file. Please reinstall the product.'. Then when I click OK it crashes. so I have to figure that one out first. I'm not sure what happened; I just defraged and rebooted the computer and then that's the error I started getting.
I think something was messed up with my computer, I did chkdsk /f /x /v (Windows 7) and then I stopped getting the CRC error.
The final settings I have come up with for sshd_config are:
ClientAliveInterval 120
ClientAliveCountMax 60 |
Using those settings, I have not been able to duplicate this problem anymore so I am happy about that.
Also maybe it's something specific to where my servers are located. I tried a CentOS 5 micro instance at Amazon EC2, and I couldn't duplicate this issue (but there sshd_config already had settings similar to what I listed above).
Thanks for all the help!
