Dmitri I think he wants the functionality under normal circumstances (as he said "when you enable autohide'...) but that it's just extremely annoying when you perform a search that way.

as far as I got him, he needs to turn off "autoshow". We call it Auto Activate (not autoshow) and it can be turned off. No problems.
