On a FTP error, the status bar displays the caution icon. But there's not way to clear it, except closing PhpED and restarting. Unless I missed something somewhere.

When I select menu "Files->New" theres not option for a plain text file (TextFile.txt).
This would help from not opening a second editor just to create a file or creating and renaming i ...

Could you add to the keyboard commands CTRL-DEL to delete the next item in the string. The reverse of CTRL-BACKSPACE.
