Bumping up, this would be a very useful feature, and it should be simple to implement...
There is even already space in th ui for another option alongside existing ones! |

Maybe you mean this .. directories can be excluded from search:

If I understand correctly, you know that the feature itself works fine — you just want a shorter path to access it?
Right now, the process is: Right-click the file tab -> Locate in Workspace -> navigate upward to its directory -> right-click on the folder -> Search (or Replace) in Files |
