Myself and forum user Randy have been working with the tireless Nusphere support team to get Nusphere to run on different platforms using WINE. Randy has posted a poll regarding the matter here:

Thanks to Dmitri's effort the latest build 5216 includes a debugger version that works well under WINE. What does this mean to you? You can run PHPEd on a Mac with NO VIRTUALIZATION. No windows license, no multi-GB partition, no additional memory allocated to a VM, and FREE.
