Remote Debugging |

HI there - thank you very much for your kind words, we appreciate it.
About your question: sorry, I don't quite understand your configuration. It looks like you have your files on Linux but don't have a webserver there - is that it? Or is there Apache running on Linux and you deploy your scripts there? If the latter is the case, then I suggest that you start by follwoing the instructions for remote debugging - a good place to start is here: http://forum.nusphere.com/howto-debug-remote-website-with-phped-t1860.html . There is a boat load of info on this forum about and of course in PhpED manual too. you should be fine if you just follow the steps. if however you simply want to keep your php files on Linux and debug them using PhpED's internal web server and of course the debugger, then there are few options: the easiest would be to get the local copies of your Linux files. You said that you don't have cvs on Linux - how about ftp? You can create a Project in PhpED, assign an FTP account to it( follow the instructions for Project mapping in the same post above especially section 2.a) and download the files to windows box - you can also simply run Smart Synch. then you should be all set. Another option - setup a Samba drive between your Linux and Windows and treat the files as if they were local to windows. Hope it helps. |
