Hi coders,
in phped7 I hit Run Profiler.
Then I clicked the column head Location in the list.
Effect was sort by Location.

But how can you reset the sorting?

I would like to see the profile unsorted.


Any hints appreciated

The profiler display is always sorted. I've just done some testing on a PhpED that I've never done profiling with before. When you first ever show the profiler output, despite it not showing a sort marker it appears to be sorted by Location descending. If the sort marker was displayed, it would be pointing up. The initial view is All lines, but the same sort is used for all views.

The data in the PPD file is what I would assume you consider to be 'unsorted'. I had a look at that data and it appears to have been written in an arbitrary order. In a real site the order of the data in that file did not visually appear to have any useful or logical purpose. PhpED processes and sorts that data to make it useful.
