Hi,

Is the Tech Platform suitable for a live production server - or just for development?

It's for sure does not introduce any additional security risks over the ones that come with original sources, I mean Apache, perl, php etc.
Finally, everything depends on the way you configure and use them.
So I think yes, it is suitable for production servers and as far as I know many customers are using it on their production servers.
