Hi all..
A small update to this app.. I've added the option to include the 'templates' dir (from the AppData path, not the PhpED install path, as these will just be defaults anyway rather than hold any custom or edited templates you might have) to the backup. Not sure why I didn't have this covered previously.. but hopefully a useful addition for more than just myself Cheers.. Ian |

No problem
One small issue.. 1.1.3.1116 has been released now. Seems I forgot to remove a test MessageBox whilst I was working on the templates feature. Whilst the 1.1.2.1115 build works fine, the useless MessageBox is likely to be annoying.. so the latest build fixes this. Apologies for this escaping out into the wild with the "bug". Cheers.. Ian |

Thank you, this is a handy tool.
The shame is that we actually need a tool like this, it should be really a basic thing included in phpEd. There's one little nagging thing if you don't mind me saying; it'd be good to have some sort of feedback that an operation has completed. |

Thanks.. and definitely open to any suggestions / criticisms etc When you export and import, do you not see a "flyout" message pane above the systray with a message that the function has completed? Originally I had a plain ol' MessageBox displaying this, but then opted for a more subtle notice that didn't require an extra click from the user to close. If you don't see the small message appear, then if you can give me some specs of your system (OS etc), I'll certainly look into it... or would you perhaps prefer an option (I personally prefer the non-interactive message, but you might prefer a MessageBox) to choose from the 2 types? Cheers.. Ian |

I tried this tool when migrated from v9 to v10. Unfortunately, it did not restore my color scheme.
Does anyone else have the same problem? Thanks |

Hi Temuri..
Unfortunately I've had very little time to do anything of recent.. which included testing this during the beta stage. The tool will, as before, work just fine with v10.. however, there's a shortcoming with it in general concept with major version migrations. The reason for this, is currently, the registry is simply dumped at the root 'NuSphere' level meaning it takes a snapshot of the current NuSphere key.. when importing, it imports this verbatim to restore your previous state... what it doesn't do, is manually manipulate the registry keys individually and offer a migration option where it knows the latest version is 10.0 in this case, and that you want to migrate your settings over from the 9.0 registry branch. I guess it currently does what it says on the tin, and provides an export / import feature, but doesn't handle migration. I'll look into getting this feature in ASAP (hopefully this week). Cheers.. Ian [EDIT 04:05]: Almost have this working |
