honestly, I didn't know about this feature before you reported it

Dirty quick-fix:
Add following line to the func.cfg, just befor 'phpcredits' <php imgindex="98" r="" b="" d="opening PHP bracket" i="|?>" mi=""/> This will put the opening bracket as first suggestion, will add a closing bracket as well, and puts the cursor in between. You'll have te restart PHPEd to re-read func.cfg. |
