Hi, what about compare PhpED Personal on Versions comparison page?

I just bought the Personal license few days ago. If you mean comparison between Personal and Professional, they are exactly the same, but Personal version as it sounds is for individuals! Its a great deal from Nusphere!

I took it that personal was for individuals to make their *own* personal web site, i.e. not a website that they are being paid to write?

I now do maintenance work on web sites for others as a contractor, i work at home, and i'm not a company, i bought pro... was that right? or should i have bought personal ?

If you're a freelancer or a self-emplyed person, you still buy and use PhpED Personal for your work, regardless you extract profit or not. It's only companies can't buy Personal - neither directly nor through their employees. If you work for a company (you're an employee) you can buy Personal, but you can't use it in your work for the company, you need PRO in that case.

Never mind, its a great product. I'll buy the personal licence next year when the updates run out
