I would really like to see the ability to match and replace multi-line content with regular expressions!

Please, please, please, please, please, please......!! Search-and-replace is a definite weak area for PhpED compared to the best text editors (like BBEdit or Vim), and this is one of the bigger problems.

And while we're talking multi-line, also make the search and replace text fields in the dialogs wider and taller to show chunks of text rather than a few words. As they're sized now, they frequently make searches a lot more work to set up than they should be.

Very good point, bobwilliams, I experience the same difficulties as you with phpEd.

The search/replace part should be reviewed.
