MariaDB Client setup in IDE |
|
Hello.
Using PhpED 19.5 (Build 19543, 64bit) on Windows 10, I am trying to set up the integrated DB Client with PhpED but am unable to do so. Actually, all of my servers are using MariaDB instead of MySQL. So I downloaded (several versions of) the MariaDB connector, expecting this to work anyway. The first problem is that the DLL is named libmariadb.dll, not libmysql.dll. If I set this in PhpED, it is not accepted. So I created a symbolic link to libmariadb.dll, to libmysql.dll Using this symbolic link, now PhpED can load it. Not easily. But any attempt to connect to a remote database, now, brings a message like the following : Trying to get a actual libmysql.dll seems to be a real headache source, as this DLL seems to be no longer available on Oracle downloads. Is it still possible to access a remote MySQL or MariaDB database from PhpED ? Regards, Gingko |
