I want to run and debug against a local Apache server and then have phpEd copy the local project source/files to a different remote location when I want to do that.

Is that possible?

To save the current file to the remote server (as setup in your project properties) use ctrl+shift+s

you can also right click on the project tree and use "Smart Sync" to send lots of files at once
