I stumbled on this solution for the issue of FastCGI timing out during a debugging session. Under IIS7, the previous solution of setting "ActivityTimeout" in fcgiext.ini no longer works. You now change that (and other) parameters in the IIS manager, BUT you first have to install the “Administration Pack for IIS” add-on (http://www.iis.net/extensions/AdministrationPack) The setting is in a collection under "system.webServer/fastCgi"

..and just as I was getting good at speed-debugging in under 30 seconds!
