![]() PS: The changelog for build 5210 mentions this, but not in a way that I can understand what you intended to fix or improve. This is not a well constructed sentence. Dmitri, could you please clarify what is meant by the following:

See Indent/Unindent Block commands, feel free to change shortcut for them. By default they are bound to Ctrl+K,I, Ctrl+K,O

Maybe I was not clear in my explanation. I am referring to using Tab and Ctrl+I for indent, and Shift+Tab for outdent. Previously these worked fine on when I had a few lines selected. Now it does not work any more when the Smart Tabs setting is disabled -- instead of indenting or outdenting the selected lines, it works on the next line (after the selection)

Seems you just did not try. Otherwise you'd noted that the shortcuts I mentioned (namely Ctrl+K, I and Ctrl+K, O) are working fine and they work regardless if Smart Tabs option.

Sorry Dmitri, I was editing my previous post to make my explanation more clear. And at the same time you were posting a response too

why not to bind Tab and Ctrl-I to those commands instead of what they are bound to now?

That did not occur to me! I have tried it and it works fine. Thank you
![]() I still think making the behaviour of the Indent and Outdent settings (under Editing commands) depended on Smart Tabs is a bad idea ![]() |

If I set Tab to indent block, I can't use tab within a line, like to space parameters, as it indents the entire line.
I agree with anno, I don't know why you 'fixed' this. |
