Hi, I am looking to change my php editor for something a little more capable from the basic text editor that I currently use. NuSphere certainly looks like a very capable product which I am considering at the moment.

Can I ask please whether this feature already exists, or if it doesn't whether serious consideration can be given to its inclusion. What I'm after is 'Indentation guides' which quite simply it places a faint vertical line at the end of a tab character and gives a very clear visual representation of nested code, and particularly comes into its own when code spans over several screens and the start and finish brackets can no longer be seen.

Having used this feature on current editor I would find it very hard to live without.

Certainly 'Indentation guides' will be implemented in the future. Probably in v5.

Thank you for a prompt and positive reply. The obvious question that comes from you answer is, if you were to implement it and this was to be in version 5 (bearing in mind that version 4.5 has just been released), what is the proposed timescales for a release of version 5?

I know that this must seem like a minor feature/request (and it is compared to the complexitity and nature of the application as a whole), but having used an editor with this feature for some time and then recently tried an editor without it, I found that I spent more time trying to workout what part of the nesting that I was in compared to find the bugs that I was looking for. Debugging code without this feature is a nightmare!!

I don't get your point regarding nightmare. Don't use spaghetti code style and everything will be okay
