Come on now - who edits HTML files in PhpEd?! I'd like to see the HTML navigator in my templates (which are .php and .tpl)
Crying or Very sad

Well, at least the HTML code folding works in php files - very nice addition - thanks team!

Ditto. I never open .html files within PhpEd myself. Any HTML code I edit within PhpEd is always .php or .tpl files. I really like the new HTML Code Navigator, but I'm unable to use it with .tpl extensions. Also, it would be nice to see HTML Preview work with .tpl extensions as well.

I've just upgraded and was amazed to discover this same thing. By default every file I create has a .php extension even if there are no plans for any form of interactivity on the site. I do this to make use of includes to make maintenance of a site easier. For example the menu is always an include so that I only ever have to make changes in one file.

Basically now the main feature I upgraded for I can't use. Could the Dev's please modify the program to allow the preview option for php files as well? It doesn't need to actually process the php of course. Just displaying the html elements would be fine.

Thanks.

Yes - rather than automating which browser to use - php or html - make it a manual option to override.
PLEASE!

or even more radically, have it autodetect if there are any HTML tags in the file and just add the HTML tab if there are.

Some people do have HTML code inside PHP files you know Wink

For what it is worth, I agree with Steve. Autodetect for HTML, then add the HTML tab.

Another vote for an Auto Detect for HTML code folding within files.

not fussed with a preview at all with templates unless there is a way to specify the variables for the template.

Yeah ... I'd find this useful as well.

Autodetect or just always on, this is something I'd use often.

For a few years I've preferred Homesite (over DW or GL) as an HTML editor.

PhpED has replaced Homesite as the HTML editor on my system. Kudos to the developers.
