If you have php installed as CGI you can simply replace old php installation with newer one. If php installed as php4apache module there is no way other than recomplation. Php.net provides php4apache compiled with plain apache api while apache shipped with TechPlatform requires enhanced api (EAPI) modules.

What ddmitrie suggests works OK. However, there seems to be (at least one) glitch: gd library is not included in Windows binaries (I don't know about Linux). I tried to use the dll from Technology platform 3.01 but it seems it is not compactible ...

My deep wish is that Nusphere updates the Technology platform more often, thus saving many of us a lot of on-line time which we are now spending finding newer releases and ironing out eventual problems.

Soon after my 1st message I found that php_gd2.dll is now the gd library and is included in php4.3.3.
