ddmitrie,

So we don't keep pestering, could you give a rough estimate for when a beta / final release of v4 will be made available? days? weeks? months?

At least we can then stop pestering you

I hope it'll come soon, 'cause I'm getting frustrated a bit Wink

I purchased PHPEd in 2004 (the advantage version) and presumed I would get some new versions for the extra money... no such thing...
Then my subscription expired. I renewed in april this year, hoping for more luck this time, but still no such thing...
I do have to mention that the nice people at Nusphere gave me a discount, but it's still paying for nothing Smile

Don't get me wrong, I love phpEd, it's a wonderfull program and use it on a daily basis, but I'd love to have at least one major upgrade during this subscription period! :p

You will get new version for free as any other customer who purchased advantage product version. No doubts.
Unfortunately, 4.0 took us more time for the development than we initially planned but it's worth this time, I think.

we're working on release candidate 2. Hope it will be QAed soon and if it is good enough, we'll release it immediately. We're not interested in delaying, of course. But what we definitely aren't going to do is release the product that's not ready.

Hey ddmitrie,

Thanks for responding. It's not out of criticism I posted my previous reaction. Being a C++ programmer myself during daytime, I know how timeconsuming these large(r) projects can be and if your team is not that big, I know it can take ages for a new version to be finished. Just had a bad day I presume, please forgive me my comments Smile
