How do I get rid of the tabs at the right of the screen? I'm ready to throw a shoe at my computer, having been driven mad by the tabs popping open every time I go for a scroll bar.

My brain decided to activate just after I posted.

If you open the tab and pin it in place, you can then drag the tab title bar to a new location.

Having done that, though, why is there a margin of a few pixels between the scroll bar and the right-side of the screen? To maximise scroll bar usability you should be able to slam your mouse to the right of the screen and not have to worry about fine positioning.
