Hi
Recently many of the hosting company is offering FTPeS for the ftp access. So it will be better if NuSphere will have that login feature. I believe it will make this software more useful for the developer.

FTPS (FTP over TLS/SSL) is supported by PhypED since ~ 2004

See the list of features here:

open account settings at Tools->Accounts
switch to {Keys} tab and select {SSL Defaults} in the tree on the left panel.
Right click it and select New -> SSL Settings.
Update the name to, for example, {My FTP}
In {SSL method} on the right panel select {TLS v1} method
Switch to {Accounts} tab
Select your FTP account
Make sure that {Passive mode} is checked
Make sure that {SSL (ftps)} is checked
Select {My FTP} (or whatever you called it) in SSL settings combo
Check TLS mode

Depending on your FTP server settings, you may have to leave {Encypt data channel} checked or not checked.

Check the results.
If it still does not work, check your FTP server logs. You may want to set the log level of the server to verbose/detailed one.

BTW, why 5.6? Isn't v6.1 much better?

5.6 is way too old! Even 5.9 was heaps better, and as for 6.1 Very Happy

Seriously, I'm sure there was an earlier 5.6 release that had some FTP issues?

no, no, there were no FTP issues in 5.6. Only in the beginning of 6.0 life.

as of FTP/SSL, I just checked PHPED 4.0, it was already supported Smile
