You may download the files with an external ftp client and edit them locally.. some resources might will not be available, like sql server, but You can set one in the built in sql client.. i've started to offline develop aswell.. after the job all Ya' have to do is to syncronize the modifications and the project.. a bit slow and ruggy but it's working..

That is not funny!

We use phpEd as a corporate-standard editor. So no one today is not able to do his work!

Can the nusphere team provide a patch or something?

Sorry if I offended you but I am not laughing at the problem. Please don't imagine that you are the only one who makes his living using this editor, I do to. The fact is, the date problem does not prevent me from doing my work. I am well able to work on the server other ways. So as annoying as this problem is, I cannot imagine what the show stopper is.

There is nothing werng with you and your post. But! You don't know how specific our workflow is. If this problem is not show stopper for you, this means nothing to us. For us this problem is total collapse.

Actaully I agree with the first poster - I think that this is a pretty major issue as it does prevent work and slows down development progress.
The lack of response from NuSphere is disappointing. I find it hard to believe that something as simple as a leap year has been overlooked for as long as this software has been out.

At this moment in time I would not recommend phpEd to anyone - if the company simply acknowledge the problem it would be better.

Apparently for some people it is an issue, but not for all, thus why should we all be expected to see it the same?

Like I said I don't see how it is a show stopper. If someone would please care to elaborate, Im all eyes. Not that you need to explain to me. But I am well able to manage without that feature.

What is it exactly about this feature that it being broken becomes a show stopper? Is it that you folks don't work locally and upload, i.e., you work directly on the live remote server? If so I see that as being more problematic than this date issue?

All eyes.

Well, the problem origins from the FTP standards that do not propose any particular format for the file listing, so there is always space for problems.
It's known that some FTP servers do not pass YEAR at all when they list "recently" created files. PhpED applies some "fuzzy" logic to guess the year and obviously fails for the files with Feb 29 date/time stamp. It will be fixed shortly, meanwhile I think there is no workarounds but a) have ftp server to pass complete date/time stamps in ls -la (or ls) command b) use sftp instead.

I spend the better part of my day trying to figure out this problem. I could not imagine that it was a nusphere bug, it look much to trivial. Now I mess up a lot of my files and it will take me few days to sort out this mess. It will have been very helpful to send an urgent message and warn about the bug. It will have save me a lot of time and I am sure I am not the only one.

Yes it is a big deal since you do not expect to be an ftp trivial bug. Also the irritation of dealing with something like this is a source of bugs.

I'm sorry for the problems with FTP and the fix is on its way to the web. And no, it was not trivial at all.

I'm not quite sure what "mess up of the files" you mean, what might cause that mess and why you connect this with FTP problems? Latter one causes FTP client to fail lising the files through ftp. It does not affect its ability to upload and/or download. It may not mess anything. It either let you see the files if there are no files with Feb 29 date/time stamp, or fails if there are some files with this time stamp.

Is not only the files, the directory has the same problem, when a file is changed. This lead me to assume that I have problems with the server rather than with ftp.
When a file is changed inside, all directory is not accessible.
