Hi,

I have just installed a new mother board and CPU in my PC and at the same time my dedicated server with our hosting company was migrated to a newer machine. After spending quite a bit of time getting software installed on both machines I am now back to running PhpEd to debug PHP scripts on the remote server, but I am getting a message in PhpEd that says the following:
Code:

DBG 3.2.12

Failed to start DBG session

Reason: debugger module is called from an old or incompatible client software. It's necessary to update DBG client (dbglistener) to version 3.2.12 or higher
Not sure what it means? Visit http://www.nusphere.com/dbg/ for troubleshooting.

Debugger request:   "395169896992500001@localhost;d=1,p=0,c=1"
Request found in:   "query_string"
Target PHP version: "5.1.x"
Server API:         "Apache 2.0 Handler"
Extensions API:     "220051025"
Modules API:        "20050922"
PHP API:            "20041225"

When I check the version of the listner running in the system tray I get:

Can anyone advise?

TIA,
Nick.

Debugger module can not distinguish connectivity problems from "old dbglistener behaviour" which was almost the same. In case of newer module it just drops the connection right after it was established. That's why it tells you that dbglistener is outdated and should be updated, which is wrong in your case.

Most probably your firewall or something like this terminated the connection right after it was established. Please check your firewall rules.
Also, it may happen if you have problems with your ssh tunnel (if you use it at all).

Thanks Dimitri,

It was a typo in my ssh tunnel command.
