Hi there,

First time to start using after purchased a month.
I used PHPed 4 years ago no problem with Thai font.
But this version 4.5.1 Build 4523 is not working with Thai

Here what happened:

1. I opened the file with Character set:Thai character Font:Browallia News, Deselected Monospaced fonts

I can read English and Thai and write but not able to save
It said "Failed to convert file to "WINDOWS-1252" encoding. Some characters will be replaced with "?" symbol. Are you sure you want to continue?

Ofcourse, I select Yes. Then it replaced with ?

2. Go to change Regional and Language Options
to Thai

Still have the same problem

What I did wrong.?
Are there any work around or what font I should try?

Thanks,
Tim

I'd recommend you open the file using File->Open dialog and make sure that File Encoding is Thai. Then make sure that Thai symbols in the file are reflected correctly and finally make sure that Thai's encoding is reflected in the status bar, not Win-1252.

Here I did.

Use File-Open ...... but select File Format = Window-874

Then edit whatever.

Now Save As ....... with File Format = Window-874

Work great and it default to Window-874 the later time.

Thanks,

Tim

Probably, earlier you opened that file with Windows 1252 encoding and it was remembered in fileenc.cfg.
