Encryption

Hello Dmitri,

I like the idea behind phpDock very much and would like to ask you, if you plan to add encryption features to phpDock?

In my opinion this would be one essential feature, because if you deploy an application with php, you automatically deploy your source-code and that´s not always a good thing. Another thing, why encryption could be important is the fact, that customers could not make any changes within the source code and damage it.

So what do you think?

Kind regards

Hi there,

It's always possible to use ioncube encoder and it works with PHPDock - I've tested it myself.
Add the following line in php.ini

[Zend]
zend_extension_ts = "C:\Program Files\nusphere\phpdock\php\extensions\ioncube_loader_win_5.1.dll"

Regards,
Jacek

Hello Jacekq,

thanks for your input.

I know that there are several encoding tools out there (good to know, that they would work within phpDock),
but I don´t like it, to have hundreds of different tools for every single task.

In my opinion the combination of ( optionally ) encrypt and deploy files within one single application would be very interesting.

Kind regards

Nucoder support?

I just made a quick test to see if nu-coder created files can be used in php-dock: might be my error, but I couldn't get it to work.

I'd also be excited to see encryption or even better - a single stand-alone .exe file.

to have phpdock to work with encoded files, you have to install phpexpress. That's the loader for them.
Next version of PhpDock will come with bundled PhpExpress.

Encrypted is good: is there any chance of the files being bundled up into one executable?

Thank in advance

what's about php? It can't be bundled up into one executable. At least a couple of dlls will be there anyway.

To encode php files you need NuCoder product, not only PhpDock.
Please see NuCoder's manual on how to encode php files.
After you get your project encoded, you can replace all files that you use in your PhpDock project with encoded ones.
Don't forget to add PhpExpress (a freeware loader for nucoded files) to php.ini used by PhpDock project and don't forget to bundle PhpExpress's dll.
