Is it possible to get the terminal docked on the same tab-bar as the Log/Transfers windows? I could float it and place it like I have done, but what I would like is to see the following tabs in the bottom tab-strip, and to be able to switch between them.

I'm sorry, no. It's not possible.
Although you can make terminal window floating (see poopup menu for the tab)

Yes, that's what I did to illustrate in the screenshot, but it'd be nice to be able to dock tabs in a different tab group to what they were originally intended for - like adding the Code Navigator to the document tab group for example.

That is great idea. Next vote for this.
