As per the thread title, this is not a Feature Request for PhpED as such, but can we please have some decent forum software.

My main problem with it is I access these pages from both work and home, and the cookie system just doesn't work for new posts. Furthermore, the goto new posts in a thread link doesn't work at all, it always takes you (me) to the first post.

I can highly recommend vBulletin, I admin several, great to use out of the box with a nice suite of features for both admin and users.

Thoughts?

Honestly, I don't like vBulletin interface. It's too loaded.
BTW, why don't you try RSS feed available for each forum there if you need to see only new posts?

Fair enough, although I don't know what 'too loaded' means.

Shame to have such a good product let down by such crappy forum software.

Should you change your mind though, I have a spare license which you are most welcome to use.

I did never encounter any problems with this forum software. Is it by any chance possible that you have cookies disabled or some cookie blocker installed?
