Hi,
Ive installed DBG on my windows test box.
Initially I installed the free dbg-2.15.5-win32.zip and it shows up in phpinfo just fine:

I then installed the NuSphere Trial, and put the dbg-wizard.php in the root folder of a virtual host
I see that:

* Web Server: Apache/2.2.6 (Win32) PHP/5.2.5
* Server Name: mywebserver
* OS: WINNT
* Your Client IP Address: 127.0.0.1
* Your Server IP Address: 127.0.0.1
* Port: 80
* Your Web Server is on the same machine with PhpED
* Path to website files: C:\wamp\www\myvhost\
* Document Root is: C:\wamp\www\myvhost\\ **note the double backslashes?
* Your PHP.INI file is C:\wamp\bin\apache\apache2.2.6\bin\php.ini
* PHP extensions directory is c:\wamp\bin\php\php5.2.5\ext\
* DBG (PHP DEBUGGER) Version 2.15.5 is INSTALLED


setup

# Project -> Root Directory: C:\wamp\www\myvhost\
# Mapping -> Run Mode: HTTP Mode (3-rd party WEB server)
# Mapping -> Remote URL: http://mywebserver/
# Mapping -> Remote Root Directory: C:\wamp\www\myvhost\ , same as Project -> Root Directory.

changed the settings in nusphere as above

in php.ini its a bit messy a mix between what was detailed in the free docs and what is specified in the nusphere related ones:

[debugger]
debugger.enabled = on
debugger.profiler_enabled = on
debugger.JIT_host = clienthost
debugger.JIT_port = 7869
debugger.ports=7869, 10000/16
debugger.hosts_allow=ALL

the project loads fine, but when run in debugger it says "failed to start debug session" please make sure the debugger module is installed on the server.

Your Remote URL and Remote Root Directory must point to the same computer. This does not seem to be the case. I would expect your Remote Root Directory to be something like http://localhost (unless mywebserver is indeed your test box).

If you have not done so yet, you should try the DBG Wizard (http://forum.nusphere.com/viewtopic.php?t=3116) for a diagnosis.

i have changed hosts so that mywebserver goes to localhost,
I can load the site fine like that.

did you mean
I would expect your Remote Root url to be something like http://localhost ?

I had the bright idea to copy the dbg.dll that came with nusphere rather then use the existing free one

all good now
