Well auto-sync if very nifty, but it really freaks my *** out.
Me as a developer would like to have full control about what exactly is uploaded,
excpecially when it is over normal FTP which does not support the time-sync
feature that makes the auto-sync so special. At the other hand, a lot of hosters
still do not offer SFTP for your website update, so you must fall back to normal
FTP which is a pain, cause you can't use the nice time-sync feature.

Right now i still have to use two seperate programs to get the update done.
For FTP i still use WinSCP where i have the full control about what is exaclty
uploaded to the server. Why should you want that ?

That's pretty simple. Guess you had created some php scripts just for testing
or debugging purposes, you do not want them to be synced automaticly to the
webserver cause they are only for local processing.

I'm not sure what you are about.
What control do you need?!
Why not to select files and/or directories in the Workspace window and upload or download them at once?
WinSCP does not add anything new, except its performance that is so poor that upload never goes byound 30-40kB/sec.

Yeah that is indeed possible too.

also true, but at least if i do synchronize i get a list of files to be updated, then i can check each single file that i do not want to upload, and that is exactly what i miss in PHPED[/i]
