I am getting a 1251 error when try to connect to my localhost mysql server and telling me i should upgrade to newer version of client. I read up on the error and found it is usually because the client is compiled for 3.x or early. why can i not connect to me server? the exact error is:

Client does not support authentication protocol requested by server - consider upgrading MySQL client

I am hoping this issue a any other can be dealt with easily, just finished with zend studio from being way to slow and buggy and this one looks promising but as I know looks can be false.

I have updated the libmysql.dll in the php folder and the system32 folder for window and still receiving the error. Any other thing that could be causing this? I have been able to connect to my mysql database with every other tool i have tried.
