As it's not implemented in 4.0.1 (build 4058) is there any walk-around to have a basic smarty tags highliting ? Other color than gray for smarty tags is enough for me.

The editor is great, the best I've used - with smarty support it'd be perfect !

Are you guys working on it ?

I'm also very interested in a walk around or any way to make color-coding by myself. Smile

Well, there's an issue with smarty support - smarty tags are not highlighted inside strings. Looks that PhpEd just does not understand that "smarty ist über alles". That means a template must be parsed as smarty template first, and only then - as HTML (or whatever).
Just take a look
Ah and let me thank you for an awesome IDE. Your dynamic highlighting is amazing!

This is one feature I hope gets fixed as well. I have some smarty only code templates and right now I cannot use them inside strings, which is quite frustrating.

Yes, we need the ability to have smarty within html tags to be highlighted, thats just a must, that'd help out so much.

I can get around most issues with by changing my html design some, but certain things like:

Code:

<input type="text" name="whatever" value="{$smartyvar}" size="32" />

Because as of right now, no way to get around that, since its in the middle of an html tag.

So yes nusphere please do better smarty highlighting with the dynamic, that would be awesome!
