Cannot get phpExpress to work - corrupted file content?

I am getting the following error.

Fatal error: Failed to load encoded file (/home/trial1/domains/trial-site.net/public_html/fox/encoded/index.php) possibly corrupted file content in Unknown on line 0

I saw in the forum that it might be a problem with the file FTP. I have used 3 different FTP Clients to upload the files and get the same result.

I am using NuCoder 2.0 on a Windows box and uploading to a Linux Server. I used the glib-2.7 and phpexpress-php-5.2.so file on the server. Our server uses PHP 5.2.6, however is using glib-2.6 with no way to easily update.

Is the glib-2.6 my problem?

Have you uploaded your files w/ binary or ascii file transfer? I know zend guard needs binary, haven't done any uploading of nu-coded files.
