can i use emacs as IDE?

Hi,

I develope directly on the unix/linux servers, i use emacs to write my php code. Can i use DBG with emacs? how?
I installed the DBG module in my php interpreter within apache, i can see it in my php definitions. Must i install anything else?

if you compiled dbg console you may use it directly or run under DDD debugger.
