Hi guys,

Has anyone had any experience with CakePHP and Wildflower? After editing files in phpED, Apache crashes when I refresh the root page (index), but only in Firefox. If I refresh the page in IE, it seems to be ok.

I've posted something in the Wildflower forums as well but I figure'd I'd asked here too (if I copy the entire folder to another location and edit stuff in Notepad, the problem doesn't occur)

And how could "editing files in PhpED" affect your server+php and your browser stability?
I don't see the point.
I'd recommend to try another Apache+php distro that is known to work stable

Well what's strange is that a copy of that folder doesn't exhibit the same problems (as it is not a project and isn't edited within phpED)...

Figured out the problem:

In my php.ini there were these lines:

zend_extension_ts="C:\Program Files\NuSphere\PhpED\\debugger\server\Windows\x86\dbg-php-5.2.dll"
[debugger]
debugger.JIT_enabled=Off
debugger.JIT_level=3
debugger.hosts_deny=ALL
debugger.hosts_allow=127.0.0.1
debugger.ports=7869

After commenting them out, everything works fine. Does this mean I would no longer be able to debug my php?

It means that you have either eAccelerator or xCache. Both are known to crash php if any other zend_extension is installed.

In other words, it's all the same, editing files in phped has no relation to the crashes, neither does debugger. You need more stable Apache+Php distro.

I don't have either of those installed to my knowledge.

Check phpinfo() first.

Anyway, if you think the problem is in debugger, contact nusphere support and it will be cleared without this spaghetti forum thread.
